Sitename Rulebook

witty subtitle goes here, lol

i. SITENAME is a freeform, back-to-basics kind of roleplay. There are no post-scripts, face-claims, or history boards, and OOC influence is kept to a minimum. It's okay to do some minor plotting and set up a few relationships for your character; just don't go overboard. Spontaneous RP can be fun!

ii. IC posts should be in third-person and past-tense. There's no set minimum for post length, but we do encourage mirror posting in most instances. For example, you wouldn't want to reply to a three-paragraph post with three sentences – unless you're certain the other party doesn't mind. The main thing to keep in mind is this: quality over quantity.

iii. In regards to what your character can and cannot do, standard roleplaying rules apply. This means no god-moding, power-playing, meta-playing, etc. While you don't need consent to attack another player's character, consent is required to kill.

iv. There is no dodge limit for IC combat, but fights will be monitored to insure that no one abuses this freedom by god-moding. All in all, just remember to use good judgment.

v. SITENAME is meant for mature roleplayers, so there are no restrictions on graphic language or violence. However, if your character starts to do something else graphic, it would be best to put a warning in the thread title. That being said, if your sole purpose of RPing is to write smut, then you might be better off elsewhere.

vi. We'd like it if you didn't model your character directly after someone from a popular movie/anime/show/etc. You're free to use images of them to represent your character, but use your creativity! A steampunk Naruto just isn't that imaginative.

vii. You can have as many characters as you like as long as you keep each one active. If you do have multiple characters, each should have its own account.

viii. The world of SITENAME is malleable. If you want your character to do something that could change the status quo, then go for it! If you have something in mind but aren't sure whether or not it would be allowed, run it by the admin in a private message.
